There are Many things we don’t get from God and may never get from God until we shift the position of our minds and Heart.

Let me tell you the story of two Brothers. One brother said to another brother, “I prayed for four Hours and the experience was wonderful”.

The other brother got challenged and said: If He can do four hours, I should be able to do Six Hours. I am more spiritual than him and my anointing is greater than His. So He goes to the prayer room and prays for Six Hours.

Whose prayer do you think the lord will answer?

Now, though one spent a longer time in Gods presence, What took him there and sustained him there was wrong. It was out of that corrupted mindset and Heart that He prayed.

The other Man however, genuinely sought to know the lord and because His Heart was right, God answered Him.

Jeremiah 29:13 shows us a powerful spiritual principle that defines who God answers and who He doesn’t.

It says: You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Some people’s heart doesn’t seek God in the prayer room, Rather it’s Ego, Pride, Self and Corrupted thinking trying to seek God; and God never pays attention to Ego, pride, and corrupt thinking.

Here’s the thing: In the realm of the Spirit, Motive is louder than voice and actions combined.

See 1 Samuel 16:7 NIV

But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”

So Here’s the thing: Why Man obsesses with the physical, God focuses on the Heart.

A right request with a wrong motive can be blocked.

“You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.” — James 4:3

Take note of this truths.

God does not fund:

            •           Ego

            •           Revenge

            •           Pride

            •           Competition with others

He answers prayers that advance His purpose, not just our comfort.

One thing I do all the time Is ask myself: WHY DO I WANT TO DO THIS? or WHY DO I WANT TO SAY THIS?

You see, I don’t preach, prophesy or do anything if I know that what is pushing me at that point is not GOD and love for Him. You know sometimes, you just want to put people where they belong. It is dangerous to do Gods business with the wrong mindset. The damage is always extreme.

Balaam did Gods work, but with the wrong Mindset, He did great damage to Gods people eventually and He paid a severe price for it.

It is usually this fleshy desires, that makes us ask for Many things we don’t actually need, And God is not up for satisfying your Ego and pride, it’s all about HIS PURPOSE AND DESIGN.

So Beloved, Sometimes; What is really stopping your prayer is not wrong request, but THE WRONG HEART.

To properly position yourself is one of your first positive step towards getting your prayers answered. Shift your Mind, Shift your Heart, and Heaven will Hear your voice.
